Would you use one of these?

The search for sustainable energy is a hot topic and this home inventor makes something COOL.  Plenty of home experimenters and science enthuisiasts have experimented with magnetic Tesla coils, wind power, solar and even hydro generating streams in their own back yards.  In this video the home inventor claims to have made a water heater that uses no electricity from any source that you might expect.  That sounds pretty awesome. 

How does he do it and what are the properties behind his invention?  It looks like he is using a process called thermo siphoning.
