How Soon Will We Be Able to Travel to Other Galaxies?

Will any of these ways WORK?

With NASA testing the em drive and other rockets it looks more likely.  The question of when or if we will be able to travel to other galaxies is often debated.  There is of course that question many of us ask, not just astronomers, if we are alone?  Traveling to galaxies and quarasa light years away would enable us to study different terrain and solar systems up close.  A very well known scientific theorist discusses this subject  and specifically in regards to propulsion systems:

Propulsion systems may be ranked by two quantities: their specific impulse, and final velocity of travel. Specific impulse equals thrust multiplied by the time over which the thrust acts. At present, almost all our rockets are based on chemical reactions. We see that chemical rockets have the smallest specific impulse, since they only operate for a few minutes. Their thrust may be measured in millions of pounds, but they operate for such a small duration that their specific impulse is quite small.

Let’s find out some of the new ways that might work in the video on page 2

Galaxies? Give me a break. Let’s look at our solar system first…then think about traveling to the stars within 10 LYs or so.

light speed would still be to slow to even visit more than just the closet stars in a human lifetime. I think nothing past achieving immortality will get humans to other galaxies. Would we even even finish exploring our own before the heat death of the universe. lol

What drugs are you on? We can’t even get to Pluto within 5 years or even slow down to look at it after getting there.

What about using sound waves they could pulse at predetermined intervals and either maintain the same speed or go faster over time
