This is a first..

There has been a lot of talk about exoplanets lately.  Many including kepler-452b and others have hogged the spotlight as astronomers consider them as possible habitats for extraterrestrial life.  Even the SETI program is restarting.  And now there is an exciting related development:

For the first time, scientists have observed a planet being formed and have captured images of dust and gas particles accumulating together to make a protoplanet in a distant solar system.
