Usually lava stays hot for a long time when it flows from a volcano.  Often there is a combination of smoothness and some pourous, bumpy rock like terrain at the foot of a volcano such as Diamond Head or Vesuvius.  Not this time!  When the lava hits this sheet of ice which is abundant because they are in upstate New York, it makes a smooth bubbly texture.  Maybe because there is water vapor trying to get out forming the bubbly pattern.  The ice even catches on fire (or seems to as it is the lava)  Anyways, this is just cool and hope you enjoy the video.
