10 Facts About Space That May Blow Your Mind

This is a list of 10 extremely interesting facts about our universe. Most of this stuff is so hard to get your head around because unlike typical science experiments in a lab, we are categorizing about things that are up to billions of light years away. A lot of this is based on the doppler effect in astronomy. Here is some background on it from the University of Illinois website:

In astronomy, the Doppler effect was originally studied in the visible part of the electromagnetic spectrum. Today, the Doppler shift, as it is also known, applies to electromagnetic waves in all portions of the spectrum. Also, because of the inverse relationship between frequency and wavelength, we can describe the Doppler shift in terms of wavelength. Radiation is redshifted when its wavelength increases, and is blueshifted when its wavelength decreases.

Let’s see what interesting facts about the universe are on this list in the video on page 2

Did you know that black hole gravitational pull is so strong not even light can escape it so gravity can bend light and do some cool things simply amazing

Very common facts, at least for me. Higgs boson reading of 125.6 Gev at CERN puts us on the fence regarding multiverse ir single universe!

The Doppler effect is a theory. There is another theory that explains the red shift and it is called tired light.
