The comments have gotten very spirited and there is a lot of debate and intriguing discussion on this video.
Commenter kingraptor has an inspired philosophical comment after seeing this video (which has instigated a lot of replies):
I am an atheist but when I think about it, everything fits too perfectly for it all to be an accident, the human brain, the solar system, the earth sun and moon being the perfect distance for heat and gravity, the whole human body itself. I feel like there is a creator now, I need to do more research because if you can expand your mind it all fits too perfectly to be an accident. Evolution is simply not real, even though I am the kind of atheist that just accepts the world for what it is. Ugh why must this be so complicatedCommenter timeparadox888 has this to say:
Let me paraphrase Cosmos for this. Any of the billions of stars in space could have an orbiting planet housing intelligent life, with its own religions based around the assumption that they are alone and that the universe was built for them.
The point wasn’t to necessarily start a philosophical debate but this video is so interesting it kind of just happened 🙂
