Do you know all of them?
Archaeology has been made most famous possibly by the Indiana Jones movies, however the stud of history and civilizations has been around a long long time. This list are some of the most important discoveries of all time. From Asia to the other continents some of these are so large in size that it is still not understood how they were constructed given the technologies of the time.
Whether it’s the world’s first computer or ancient civilizations we are still unable to trace, we have made some pretty phenomenal archaeological discoveries in the past few hundred years. Whether they be temples, burial grounds, or entire underground cities, the archaeological discoveries on this list shaped and often rewrote history as we know it (some of which turned out to be really controversial). Dig in (archaeologist joke) to the fascinating remnants of our past in this list of the 25 most important archaeological discoveries in history.
Here are a few on this list that you may or may not have heard of before:
Ashurbanipal’s Library
Ħaġar Qim Is Seen here which is on the island of Malta:
Olmec Colossal Heads
Terra Cotta warriors
Subterranean city in central Turkey is seen in this one:
Tomb of Sunken Skulls
Sacsayhuaman In Peru is seen in this pic
Pompeii
And of course as is expected the comments on this video thread are very spirited with lots of different theories regarding the topics covered. Do you have any ideas on how come of these artifacts were made? Feel free to comment especially about how you think they were built.
