3 Top Reasons We Have Not Seen Aliens Yet…

Have you heard of the Fermi paradox?

It is a puzzling contradiction in extraterrestrial “calculation”.  Basically what we think we know of the universe in that it is extremely vast and it would seem a high likelihood that we’d have seen aliens by now.  Yet the fact that “most” of us have not visibly seen aliens and I emphasize most 😉  A very clever philosopher examines this paradox further with 3 fascinating and thought provoking explanations.

Here are the 3 possibilities the writer poses as explanations:

Possibility 1) The galaxy has been colonized, but we just live in some desolate rural area of the galaxy. The Americas may have been colonized by Europeans long before anyone in a small Inuit tribe in far northern Canada realized it had happened. There could be an urbanization component to the interstellar dwellings of higher species, in which all the neighboring solar systems in a certain area are colonized and in communication, and it would be impractical and purposeless for anyone to deal with coming all the way out to the random part of the spiral where we live.

The fermi paradox has been extensively debunked. There have been millions of extra terrestrial encounters. The U.S. gov’t admits it. Multiple other gov’ts admit it. Why do you even buy into this fermi paradox nonsense?

The third possibility doesn’t make sense to me. A Dyson sphere, in my opinion, would be a first step in colonization of a new system. After it was completed, colonists would have all the energy needed for what comes next.

I know, I know, our species is leading the pack.
But what about other species who may have evolved several thousand years ahead of and in parallel to us?

If I were part of a significantly advanced race with the capability to cross the Galaxy, I wouldn’t want to engage with what passes for intelligence on this planet, anymore than I’d sit and converse with a mouse about warp drive.
