This is a pretty cool video listing some of the e-bikes of the future.  Already a lot of cities and countries outside of the U.S. bike a lot more although they are making progress in the states.  Many of these e-bikes are rad in that they connect to a smartphone and also have a power efficient motor attached to one of the wheels.  If you think of the cost savings in terms of gas and repair work these devices make a compelling case for car replacement.  Also there are more and more bike sharing apps and depots making these futuristic bikes even more appealing.
