Some stars are very similar to our sun and others exhibit properties that may surprise you.  This list examines 10 of the most unusual stars that astronomers have observed in space.  There is even one star on here that is estimated to be 14.4 billion years old.

Given an uncertainty of .8 billion years as estimated by astronomers, this would put it early on in the universe using red shift. Of course that is assuming red shift has been accurate for billions of years.  What do you think, is that an accurate way to measure distances and ages in the universe or is there something they are missing?
