Astronomers Found a Hole in the Andromeda Galaxy

did you know about THIS?

What they found was baffling and they are trying to figure out what happened.  The Andromeda galaxy is just over 2.5 million light years away and has been the focus of a lot of astronomical endeavors.  There are quite a bit of mysteries coming from that region.  It is also known as  Messier 31, M31, or NGC 224.  It is similar in mass to the Milky Way galaxy yet has some striking differences.  Here is the scoop on a bizarre finding:

On August 25, 2003, NASA launched the Spitzer Space Telescope. Designed to peer into the infrared region of the spectrum, this instrument was designed to pierce the veil of dust and gas blocking visible light and look deeper into galaxies, where young stars are born.

While imaging the Andromeda Galaxy, the Spitzer Space Telescope uncoverd a never-before-seen hole, the result of a collision with a nearby dwarf galaxy, in the Andromeda Galaxy.

Did you know about this and do you agree with this theory or is it something else?

Let’s find out more about this weird finding in the video on page 2
