A Massive Supernova Was Spotted In The Cigar Galaxy M82

there are TWO things involved here…

In addition to the enormous supernova there is something else located there which remains a mystery.  The first unusual discovery is the really huge and cool supernova that is actually viewable in the galaxy which is 12 million light years away.  M82 is classified as a starburst galaxy.  In addition, there is also something else VERY VERY peculiar.  There was another unusual radio signal in the vicinity which is a rare type that astronomers have only found a few times.  This one was detected a few years ago and as mentioned these events are extremely rare.
