A Particular Ginormous Galaxy Cluster Weighs 500 Trillion Suns…WHOA!

can you get your mind around THIS?

Some statistics are just too big to comprehend.  Apparently this cluster that was first discovered in 2012 is getting new attention.  It is not often discussed but the sheer size of it is insane:

The largest galaxy cluster that existed in the early portion of the Universe’s history has been analysed by astronomers, and they’ve estimated that it weighs as much as 500 trillion Suns.

Even the town of Tucson is names after “two suns” because the light from one sun is so bright some say it can be perceived as two.  This cluster also has some interesting implications on the earlier days of the universe as we perceive it.

Let’s find out more and check out a video of the largest galaxy we’ve seen in the video on page 2
