could it be POSSIBLE?
The evidence that life existed or exists on Mars is a very debated area. With the curiosity rover in 2015 getting taking never before seen pics of the Mars surface, there is a ton of additional data that some feel indicate life existed. And, if that wasn’t enough, they also detected a thin atmosphere that was previously not known to be there. Now researchers think a certain compound may indicate that there were indeed some form of life there.
NASA’s Mars Curiosity mission is exploring such a spot right now at its landing site around Gale Crater, where the rover has found extensive evidence of past water and is gathering information on methane in the atmosphere, a possible signature of microbial activity.
What do you think does this sound reasonable? Or are they looking too hard for something that just isn’t there?
Let’s find out more about this mysterious substance on page 2

If they really wanted to find evidence of past life on Mars, they would look under the surface.
Eh, chemical or biological processes can be responsible for this.
Inconclusive at best.
Yup, they need a “Mole” robot which can burrow and seek out pockets of salty H2o below the surface. Best chance is just below 1 meter where there’s no chance of solar radiation.
Yes.
