The quest to prove life existed on Mars is a fierce debate in the scientific arena. Researchers think a certain compound may indicate that there were indeed some form of life there. It is actually a fiercely debated topic and with pics from the Curiosity rover, the discussion has gotten way more interesting:
NASA’s Mars Curiosity mission is exploring such a spot right now at its landing site around Gale Crater, where the rover has found extensive evidence of past water and is gathering information on methane in the atmosphere, a possible signature of microbial activity.
