Who wants to make their own lightsaber?!  I do and wish this video was out when Star Wars first came out.  It may take using plasma is weird stuff..Its not a solid, liquid or a gas.  It is considered a 4th state of matter and exhibits properties of all three.  The narrator shows a plasma torch in the video from an auto shop which is like a mini lightning bolt.  The torch uses ionized oxygen which makes the atoms output a lot of energy.
