NASA Has A Big Announcement Tomorrow…What Will It Be?

Here is a bit more information.  There isn’t that much info to go off of and your guess is as good as mine.  Although there is a refresher on the instruments they have used to detect things by spacecraft:

The question we’re all asking, naturally, is what does NASA have in store for us. So far, we don’t have a whole lot to go on, but what we do know is that the research comes fom the MAVEN (Mars, Atmosphere and Volatile Evolution) spacecraft, which has been orbiting Mars since 2014 and studying its upper atmosphere. These will be the first findings announced from the mission.

The spacecraft carries eight different sensors on board, including an ion mass spectrometer and a magnetometer, and according to NASA its aim is to: “Determine the role that loss of volatiles from the Mars atmosphere to space has played through time, giving insight into the history of Mars’ atmosphere and climate, liquid water, and planetary habitability.”

We are very excited to find out what the announcement is!  Stay tuned.

thanks to sciencealert.com for the great info
