NASA Test Fires the SLS Rocket and It Is Amazingly Powerful

this is INSANE…

Astronomers say this is one step closer in getting to Mars.  There have been previous tests of this particular rocket and the latest test was a success.  There have been articles lately about different types of propulsion systems such as the em drive and other theoretical models.  However the SLS is extremely far along which makes it an area of focus.  Here is what they had to say about the launch:

NASA successfully tested the first deep space RS-25 rocket engine for 500 seconds March 10, clearing a major milestone toward the next great era of space exploration. The next time rocket engine No. 2059 fires for that length of time, it will be carrying humans on their first deep-space mission in more than 45 years.

That is definitely a bold statement.
