Obsessed Inventor Makes an Awesome Jetpack

After tinkering in his garage for 23 of those years he made a lot of progress, especially in the last few years.  His test is successful as him and his copilot soar thousands of feet in the Canterbury Plains.  The comments from the video are quite spirited and here is one of the more enthusiastic ones:

Technology has existed for over 40 years that allows a single person to fly around for well over 30 minutes at 60 mph, Such as the Bell jetpack and the wasp x-jet. So this thing is a bit late to the game. Unfortunately for some reason, nobody seemed interested in those earlier designs which have been proven to work much better than this thing. Also the x-jet had a service ceiling of 10,000 feet, not 5,000 like this one. HOWEVER, I am glad that someone is experimenting and producing technology like this, I am just sad that we have had technology capable of doing this for almost half a century and nothing has come of it until now. But even so this design is only related to the older ones in that it carries one person. This comment is not meant to insult this this piece of technology. But one thing, it doesn’t run on jet engines, so that wouldn’t make it a jetpack, it’s also not a rocketpack, so wouldn’t it be and aeropack?

Feel free to form your own opinions as this is very cool and I look forward to seeing more from this inventor going forward.
