One of The Faintest and Earliest Galaxies Ever Has Been Detected

At first glance (no pun intended) it may seem as if they just saw it.  However, there are some other galaxies that get some credit in the process:

While the truly powerful telescope gets most of the credit for the find, it did have some help. A cluster of galaxies located some 400 million light years away supplied the light that made the recent discovery perceptible. NASA is very excited by the uncovering of the simultaneously old and new galaxy, but also noted, “This finding suggests that the very early universe will be rich in galaxy targets for the upcoming James Webb Space Telescope to uncover.”

What do you think? Is the universe around 14 billion years old and what do you think happened before that?
