Quadcopter Wow This Thing is Cool

This new device by DJI btw goes for $2,900.  That can seem like a lot or a complete bargain.  Eric Cheng runs through some of the specs and this particular device is a higher end model from this company.  It’s designed for high end hobby use or professional use.  And it weighs just over 3 kilograms.  The battery also runs 22 volts which is twice the voltage of the older model.

One of the commenters on the video states:

I really want a quadcopter, but I’m not all that rich. I want to buy a relatively cheap one that has video capability. I’m wondering if anything like that exists. It has to be good enough video quality that I could use it for video shoots. But the quality of video doesn’t have to be so high that it’s crystal clear. Just good enough to serve it’s purpose.

Is there anything good enough out there to shoot scenes for stuff, but not so high priced that my bank will explode?

Well another commenter is less enthusiastic:

Being an rc hobbyist, this thing is way over priced… Yes it is a ready to fly quadcopter, which does also add to the price, but I believe anyone willing to invest a lot of money into a quad should either buy an ARF kit or build themselves. The skills involved with building the quad yourself and or assembling the quad will help you with any future repairs, because let’s be honest a multirotor is going to crash no matter how experienced the pilot may be. None the less the style of the craft does make up for the price… But anyone thinking of purchasing such an aircraft should consider this thought, nice in depth review will 😉
Whatever your opinion is this area of technology seems interesting and we hope you enjoy the video.
