This restructuring of today’s cars will change everything!  If you are willing to hand over the steering wheel you may have more time to interact with friends while taking a ride somewhere.  In addition the editor at CNET wisely explains that there is more at hand than just making these cars driverless.  There will be an increase in media consumption inside the vehicle itself.  Even the door in the video seems to sport an interactive monitor.  What would you do on a road trip in such a car..play more competitive games, catch up on reading or something else?

Secondly and more importantly, if the narrator is correct, this will improve road safety by removing error.  Although it seems like once other cars are driverless as well it may become exponetially more efficient.  If they are all sensing each other and reacting to each other’s technology there may be a rhyme and reason to things.  They had me at the slick design, polished metal exterior and blue lighted ground kit.  I wonder how much thing thing costs or will cost?

Lastly, there will likely be a reduction in fuel waste if these things get user adoption.
