did you know THIS?
The search and discovery of exoplanets have changed astronomy. The most famous of which is kepler 452-b. Thar is a particular exoplanet that has an atmosphere very similar to Earth. And in an exciting new discovery the team who manages the Kepler spacecraft just got new insight into exoplanets and “Super Earths”. Here is a bit more about what they reported:
Thanks to the Kepler spacecraft, we know that at least half the Sun-like stars in the galaxy host at least one planet, and for three out of 10 stars that planet is a super-Earth. But the existence of these planets, bigger than Earth but still rocky, has complicated our ideas of how planets form. Now, a new model provides a solution to this puzzle.
Do you think this will effect the S.E.T.I. program in that it may influence them to focus on particular planets? Just a note they restarted after a long time.
