Hmmm. If the physics is well enough understood of these gravity wells, then it shouldn’t be too difficult to write some software to convert a photograph of the lensing, back into what the objects behind really look like. It’s just writing some code to negate the gravity effects on the light, and if it’s accurate enough, it could be a new form of telescope for studying the most distant parts of the universe.
