Dr. Van Genderen and his colleagues, Dr Alex Lobel from the Royal Observatory of Belgium and Dr Hans Nieuwenhuijzen from SRON Laboratory for Space Research, reveals the light was caused by PAH (polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon) molecules.
