I have 2 theories the first which I consider more likely is they have observed us and find us to be primitive and monstrous. Like wild animals. Would you try to have a conversation with a wild hungry Lion? My second less likely theory is what if we are the most advanced species in the universe? Or rather the way we think of it. I mean we can do some pretty incredible stuff. We are a violent warring species, but that is exactly what has spurred many of our advances. A peaceful species may have advanced in very different ways.

The reason I feel they haven’t came out of the shadows with their existence is due to the human race eliminating themselves at a alarming rate without the exception of aliens altering the outcome
