Veil Nebula Is Seen With The Best Pictures Ever

One of the cool things about this particular nebula is it helps us study the after effects of a super nova:

Deriving its name from its delicate, draped filamentary structures, the Veil Nebula is one of the best-known supernova remnants.

Also known as the Cirrus Nebula and the Filamentary Nebula, this object spans approximately 110 light-years and lies in the constellation Cygnus, about 2,100 light-years away.

This is a brief intro about this video showing off some awesome images of the Veil Nebula:

The NASA/ESA Hubble Space Telescope has photographed three magnificent sections of the Veil Nebula – the shattered remains of a supernova that exploded some 5-10,000 years ago. The new Hubble images provide beautiful views of the delicate, wispy structure resulting from this cosmic explosion.
