Do you know about this?

The “Alien Wow” signal from S.E.T.I. has been debated since the 1970s and they detected THIS.  No one knows for sure but the most likely candidates are black holes, merging neutron stars and aliens.  Seriously…that is what many astronomers think may be behind what was discovered as it happened.  The first one was found by sifting through data in 2007.  Here is a bit more on what one astronomer had to say:

“These events are one of the biggest mysteries in the universe,” said Carnegie Observatories’ acting director John Mulchaey.
“Until now, astronomers were not able to catch one of these events in the act.

Considering the vastness of space, the immensity of the cosmos we search, it seems unlikely that we would ever find evidence of extraterrestrial life in the form of beacons or radio messages.
