Is Stephen Hawking Right About This Time Travel Theory?

The comments on this thread are particularly inquisitive.

Here is one of the more theoretical ones on the future:

And of course, what isn’t covered here is the energy required to stop. If it took you 4 years to get to 90% of the speed of light, you’d need another 4 years to stop the ship. And… what if there was an asteroid or some other celestial body in the way? The ship would need to be able to maneuver to avoid objects. And if there was an object traveling fast towards the ship, there may not be enough time to maneuver… causing destruction. Our only hope to ensure the record of Humanity survives is to build self-sufficient intelligent robots.

Is he right or is this completely inaccurate?  Who knows for sure but this topic may be one of the most fascinating in all of science.

Check back for more updates from Stephen Hawking as new studies and experiments relate to this documentary.

It isn’t that some think it makes sense. It is simply the fact that some have the intellect to comprehend it. Most do not.

I think you are looking at the problem all wrong my first you need to create a pathway though space that connects to the destination and instead of the speed of light how about the speed of electricity whice is half the speed of light. And can go on so let’s see who bites.

I’ve been looking for the right peace for my magnetic time traveling device, this spinner seems to fit just right , if it works I will see you in the

That time ship theory works one-way, in order to go ten years into the future we would have to go five light years away and then return.

Humans are obsessed with thrust propulsion. Travelling in Time is travelling in Space. Speed is irrelevant. Thrust propulsion has all the elements against it. Thrust propulsion has to compete with speed – friction – heat and control of all faculty of motion. Remember what Nikola Tesla said – Secret of the Universe is Frequency/Vibration/Energy. remember what Albert Einstein said – Match the Frequency of the Reality you want and you cannot help but get that Reality. Travelling in Time is all about breaking the fluid structure of Space Fabric. The so-called Spatial Divergence.

Sorry guys but the only way you could go back into the past is if you could put every molecule and atom back to where it was at that time, which is mathmaticaly impossible so forget worrying about something that’s not possible

  7. Robi Turner said:

Even if you moved all those atoms and moleculesx back where they used to be , you would have to destroy the present , sorry for going so deep but these are the implactions of time travel

you lost me when I had to click again after the first click. to bad to. because this looked like an interesting read.

If time travel were possible we’d be living it now. We’d only be able to keep that secret for so long before others were doing it.

That has no merrit. Because like I said before, if you wanted to go to the past you would have to put every atom and molecule back into they’re previous states and positions . speed is irrelevant, cause it changes nothing , sorry scientists, quit even worrying about time travel.

Robi Turner that’s not true. Everything that has happened, is happening and will ever happen already has. It’s one continuous timeline.
