This clip is really awesome as the home inventor shows us how to take a remote controlled robot, (the model they use here is called an attacknid) and turn it into a death ray laser drone wow!  It can be used to battle other robots and he starts out by testing the voltage with a multimeter and comes in at 6 volts which should work for the purposes of this home experiment.  This should be enough to power the laser diode.  Have you ever seen the show battlebots or any robot battle competitions?  This one might blow away the competition in future versions I mean come on, it has a darn laser beam coming out of the front.
