That’s good to know 😉
Apparently astronomers have witnessed a fairly rare event. Â It is also not widely knows outside of the stargazing community that a star actually can escape from a black hole, sometimes. Â Black holes are still extremely mysterious so observing them can be challenging. Â Our models are getting more sophisticated but there are still so many unknowns. Â Here is a brief description of what they saw:
For the first time, researchers have spotted a star being swallowed up by a black hole, and then watched as some of the star’s matter was ejected back out as a flare of plasma moving at nearly the speed of light – a process that’s been compared to a cosmic ‘burp’.
