Are Plasma Rockets the Future of Space Travel?

some think YES…

NASA has been testing some very cool engines like the EM Drive and others.  The sls had quite an impressive test or a few actually.  Many science and science fiction fans alike debate the possibilities of getting to Mars and even to other stars.  So are any of these really going to get there or are they just experimenting for other learning purposes.  In this video they examine another type of engine:

Join a small team of rocket designers as they open a window into the future of space travel. Stirring music from Digital Republic.

Modern science has linked polar light shows, called auroras, to vast waves of electrified gas hurled in our direction by the sun. Today, researchers from a whole new generation see this dynamic substance, plasma, as an energy source that may one day fuel humanity’s expansion into space. What can we learn, and how far can we go, by tapping into the strange and elusive fourth state of matter?

Wait did we read that correctly?  The fourth state of matter how cool is that?  Many people debate whether there are just 3 states or an actual fourth.  What do you think does this have a future?

Let’s find out more and check out how a plasma engine could work in the video on page 2
