One of Pluto’s moons is absolutely baffling astronomers. It is not following a pattern that they were all but certain that it should. And it has been quite a year for astronomy in particular for Pluto with new never before seen pics of the planet. And it did include pictures of its moons as well. And with this new data come new theories…or mysteries. This is a brief excerpt on a strange anomaly they found:
The orbits of Pluto’s four smallest moons are even more chaotic than scientists had expected, according to new results from the New Horizons mission, which made a close flyby of Pluto in July.
What do they mean by this “chaotic”? Certainly more data would help clarify things and they may or may not have enough to work with in terms of this round of pics to figure out what is happening there.

These “moons” are captured debris from the Ort cloud. Pluto’s orbit is also erratic and doesn’t follow along the plane of our star system. Allowing it to pick up these “chaotic” bodies as it travels out into the cloud.
