Astronomers Discovered Something in 1917 That Was…

There is an astronomical phenomenon that is getting a lot of buzz now even though it was spotted almost 100 years ago

Now most space fans and all astronomers have heard of the phenomena of exoplanets.  The most famous of these is named kepler 452-b due to it’s “Earth like” atmosphere.  However, these have only been seen recently through large telescopes.  And now astronomers were surprised by this spotting:

It turns out that a 1917 image on an astronomical glass plate from our Carnegie Observatories’ collection shows the first-ever evidence of a planetary system beyond our own Sun. This unexpected find was recognized in the process of researching an article about planetary systems surrounding white dwarf stars in New Astronomy Reviews.

    The data was obtained in 1917 but they had no method of knowing what the data showed. That being said, your heading is bogus.
