Astronomers Propose Searching For Extraterrestrial Organisms On Jupiter’s Moons

Is THIS actually smart?

In addition to the S.E.T.I. alien program and exoplanets, now they may look in our own solar system.  As a quick refresher S.E.T.I. which recently started up again basically sends signals to outer space and listens to incoming signals. Now more attention in the search for extraterrestrial life will be focused on Jupiter’s moons:

In the past year humanity has landed on a comet, ventured to Pluto and discovered another planet which is so like our own it has been dubbed Earth 2.0.

But in the coming decades, space exploration is moving beyond charting the Solar System and will seriously start hunting for alien life.

This week the European Space Agency announced that is has joined forces with Airbus to develop a new space probe to look for extra-terrestrial existence on the icy moons of Jupiter.

Find out when this launch begins and check out a cool video on the icy moons on page 2

Just don’t bring back to Earth any bugs that might be found. But it’d be great to know life has evolved somewhere else besides Earth.
