This is one of my favorite posts so far on Shocking Science.  This is a BendDesk which is a a curved interactive surface capable of gaming and interaction just like a touch screen tablet.  The inventor lists a few of the components you would need to make this thing: Two projectors, 3 cameras, IR-LEDs.  This is like a ginormous ipad or smartphone screen right at home.  Commenter Nick S states:

this kind of stuff and the original microsoft surface designs are awesome. i think the only reason this tech hasn’t taken off yet is because it is super expensive. otherwise it’d be revolutionary!
