Who remembers the movie Beetlejuice with Michael Keaton?  I think it may have been a play on the star Betelgeuse.  Well Betelgeuse is known for being monstrous and even seems small in this demonstration.  It is a red super giant and when you realize the earth is but a mere grain of sand compared to come of these ginormous masses, you may wonder why someone getting your latte at Starbucks wrong is laughable in comparison.

Think about this. There are more stars in the GALAXY than there are grains of sand on earth. Imagine the univerese. People who don’t believe in Aliens are stupid. In the galaxy alone there could be millions of life forms far advanced than us, still evolving, same technology like us or even less than humans. Its just not right to think that we are the ONLY life forms in the galaxy from all this space we can not be.

The commenter seems very passionate and with this many stars and planets out there it does make one wonder how can we be the only ones.  What would other life forms look like and would they have to live in an environment such as ours?
