Could This Massive CO2 Recycler Actually Work?

Below we have two videos:

1.  The first one is from the company who is pioneering this new strategy, Carbon Engineering.

2.  The second video demonstrates some of the physical properties of CO2 which would be especially relevant in the context of what Carbon Engineering is trying to do.

Survival Doc demonstrates that carbon dioxide is heavier than ordinary air. Carbon dioxide can be used to displace air and oxygen in containers for long term storage of food and other survival supplies. Removal of oxygen prolongs storage life and reduces rust and corrosion of metal objects like guns and ammo. Dry ice, which is solid carbon dioxide, can be used as an economical and practical source of carbon dioxide. Oxygen can also be removed from storage containers using oxygen absorbing packs.

My only question is let’s say this platform is widely deployed, what will that do to the ecosystem in that trees and plants live on CO2?  I’m fully aware that this would have to be a massive deployment but the environment can be very delicate to artificial changes.

We hope you enjoy both videos.  And it is this type of outside the box thinking that will lead to future innovations!
