FRB Signal From 6 Billion Light Years Away – Update

what or who sent this SIGNAL?

The internet has been buzzing after the story of a strange space signal went viral.  Commonly known as an FRB or “fast radio burst” their origin is still a mystery and only a few have ever been detected.  The most recent and famous one was found just a few months ago.  Most astronomers think it is from a pulsating neutron star however there are differing opinions on this matter.

One of the more “far out” opinions, no pun intended is that it came from extraterrestrials.  Most people’s initial reaction when hearing such ideas is one of skepticism, which is understandable given the amount of bogus information regarding the topic.  However, it is a possibility and is worth examining.

This is a pic of radio telescopes which SETI used and is using again to send and receive signals.

My cell phone rang there was a number on it that when looked up came from the Devils triangle and the best part my phone was brand new and it wasn’t hooked up yet to the Internet or phone yet

I find that a little hard to believe. The article says the signal source is 6 billion lightyears away… I’m not an astronomer, but I do know that they have pretty reliable methods of figuring that detail out. *shrugging*

It’s been said, that when a technology level is sufficiently advanced from the observer’s level. It will seem like magic. Astrophysicists have figured out how pulsars do their thing. But what if they’re missing the point? If there were a level 3 civilization wanting to create a beacon… A pulsar would be a good choice. They’ve grabbed OUR attention… And we’re a level 0 civilization.
It’s a purely pie in the sky thought.. But it would be funny if it turned out we were the galactic version of a moth.. Si fascinated by a light.. That were oblivious to the wider perspective.

A signal from 6 billion years ago. Not too likely addressed to us. Lol
Maybe it was sent by time travelers. I’ll stick with the pulsar theory.

….Could/would you Earthlings rebroadcast that one?….Thanks……”

The human race is better off then ever before and very likely to succeed in spreading across the universe. Despite pessimistic people like you that not only contribute nothing but also spread negativity at the same time. Loterally i think people like you are so evil that if there is a hell your going.
