Free power anyone?

DIYer gets clever in this video and makes a power generator from scrap.  This is pretty cool and he lists out the parts and how tos step by step.  Although this particular power generator might not solve the world’s energy problems, it is a step in the right direction.  Hardly a day goes byw ithout hearing something in regards to fossil fuels or old power equipment that needs to be upgraded.

What do you think is this far fetched or could a lot of people make one of these at home?
