YouTube is full of home experimenters in the quest for an efficient energy system.  With the success of the Tesla car there is more and more interest in sustainable fuel and electricity alternatives to the status quo.  Many countries and people would like to lessen our dependence on fossil fuels for environmental and economic reasons.  So, many home inventors and electrical engineers have been playing with devices based on the works of Nikola Tesla.  Here a home engineer makes a cool Tesla turbine and it runs strong..

It seems like the core of a lot of these devices are based on the boundary layer effect in attempting to run more efficiently than other turbines.
