This is just a plain cool experiment although do not try this at home, indoors or without the supervision of a professional.  These guys show us how a vortex canon can actually shoot and knock things down.  In transcribing from the video the experimenter states:

According to legend a really good blast of air should be able to bring down a house of straw.

That seems like common sense although when you see this thing in action, it will do more than that.  Part of the science behind it is the mix of gases inside the vortex canon creating the force.  The experimenters are in a field and walk you through their contraption.  This video is a must see for anyone who likes cool experiments.
