For centuries this translation marvel has been transferred, fought over and debated.  There is even a famous software program named after it as you likely have heard.

It was originally thought to have been located in a temple.  There are even rumors it had been moved around multiple times in medieval times.  It was rediscovered in the late 1700s and has continued to have been fought after ever since.

The translation of it has baffled many for 100s of years and the commenter on the video thread had this to say:

It is kind of surprising it took them so long to translate it. Something like the circling of words should have been obvious. It could only be for emphasis and in the ancient world that would mean it must have been the name of a god, city or king. And for a culture sophisticated enough to build the pyramids, the language would have to be phonetic by that point.
