Rosetta, the European spacecraft orbiting the comet, is also said to have picked up strange “clusters” of organic material that resemble viral particles.
But neither Rosetta nor its lander probe, Philae, are equipped to search for direct evidence of life after a proposal to include this in the mission was allegedly dismissed.
Astronomer and astrobiologist Professor Chandra Wickramasinghe, who was involved in planning for the mission 15 years ago, said: “I wanted to include a very inexpensive life-detection experiment. At the time it was thought this was a bizarre proposition.”
This is absolutely incredible and if they did find total proof of aliens or organisms what would be the implications for the solar system and beyond?

Well, the theory of seeding the Earth with the building blocks of life, early in its history, by comet collisions would certainly hold true. The theory of panspermia I believe.

I will be honest though. High hopes about this stuff is ok by me. Not because of any possible gains for humanity but just because we would have an answer to a question that has nagged humanity since the beginning.
The only thing that convinces me of alien life, really isn’t alien. We are all made from materials throughout the universe. Space dust. Matter or dark matter, matter just the same. Any life off our planet should not be surprising, seeing how our life on this planet started from things slamming into our planet. Are we alone? No. Nor are they, where ever they are. Learn how to keep this planet alive with us on it, then, you will find out whether or not others will let you know about them. They laugh at us.
