Have you ever wondered why Earth supports life and Mars does not? You may or may not know about this but Earth’s magnetic field plays a super important role in this. We often focus on things like the atmosphere and the cellular level communicating with each other through DNA. However we are protected by an extremely sophisticated system that few people talk about:
Earth’s magnetic field, which protects the planet from harmful blasts of solar radiation, is much older than scientists had previously thought, researchers say. In fact, this invisible, protective shield likely existed shortly after the planet formed — a finding that could shed light on why Earth is habitable and Mars is not.
Without Earth’s magnetic field, solar winds — streams of electrically charged particles that flow from the sun — would strip away the planet’s atmosphere and oceans. As such, Earth’s magnetic field helped to make life on the planet possible, researchers have said.
Here is some more in depth information on how this incredible “field” actually functions:
The magnetic field is generated by swirling liquid metal in Earth’s outer core, and this “geodynamo” requires the release of heat from the planet to drive its churning. Nowadays, this heat flow is aided by plate tectonics— the movement of the plates of rock that make up the planet’s exterior — which efficiently lets heat transfer from Earth’s interior to its surface.
Now, scientists have found that Earth’s magnetic field could be up to 4.2 billion years old — about 750 million years older than had been previously thought.
The researchers investigated magnetically sensitive minerals such as magnetite, a naturally occurring cousin of rust. As molten rock cools, magnetite within it becomes literally set in stone, pointing to the location of Earth’s magnetic poles at the moment it froze. As a result, the oldest samples of magnetite can reveal the direction and intensity of Earth’s magnetic field at the earliest parts of Earth’s history, the researchers said.

Yea, thank you earth. A lesson for most people to learn indeed. The earth’s magnetic fields, it is not frightening because it’s a part of nature. If it weren’t a part of nature and man made, it would be something to be horrified by.

Well one that I know of got blown up and it’s so small you could walk around it in 20 min ,that’s no big enough. The second moon never herd of but I’m sure it’s to small to .
I think the goldilocks zone is smaller then they think. I think for a planet that size a 12 hour rotation would increase its electromagnetic field. But in the end it’s to fare away from the sun. The radiation from the sun just isn’t enough to sufficiently charge it’s core. Maybe we could hit it with somthing to increase its rotation. A nice grazing shot with one of its moons maybe.
What if aliens had us build the pyramids to create harmonic pressures that helped our Earth’s core spin and create our magnetic field and keep it strong?

Species of bio-organic Life forms exist below the surface on Mars. They are basically carbon dioxide breathers. The solidification of Earth Core happened about 650 million years after the birth of Earth – 4.5 billion years ago. The solidification creates the bipolar North/South Magnetic Field.
