In this video the experimenter demonstrates a very cool magnetic effect.  It is called dimagnetism and that effect has incredible potential in future applications from hoverboard technologies to hyperloop style transportation and more.  For example, a superconductor could be considered a perfect diamagnet.  And of course neodymium, the elemental magnets that are incredibly powerful seem to be the most studied lately and are used in this experiment.  His board that is comprised of neodymium magnets is arranged North South North South then the next row is arranged in the order of South North South North to attain the effect.
