In this video the expirimenter interacts two extremely different substances..corn syrup and mercury.  Note mercury is a dangerous substance and do not try this at home (or anywhere without a professional).  Corn syrup is unique in that it has a high viscosity, about 1,000 times that of water yet it has a very low density.  It gets cool when the experimenter starts drizzling mercury over the top with a syringe.
