One Of World’s Largest Telescopes To Be Linked To Supercomputer

Here is a bit more on the incredible capabilities of this project:

A radio signal as far as tens of billions of light years away could possibly be caught by the telescope, which will extend China’s space tracking scope from moon’s orbit to the outside edge of the solar system upon its completion next year.

The video below also discusses the construction of the world’s largest radio telescope in Africa and Australia:

This talk was given at a local TEDx event, produced independently of the TED Conferences. The Square Kilometre Array or SKA is a revolutionary telescope currently being designed, which will be built in Africa and Australia. Hosted by the University of Manchester at the nearby historic Jodrell Bank Observatory, the SKA Organisation acts as the central leadership, overseeing the project.
