They did a real teleportation experiment as science fiction is becoming science reality. Many Star Trek fans and science fiction fans have discussed this concept. How could it happen? it is a bogus fantasy or a possibility that is safe and not yet understood? Lucky for us these inquisitive physicists were interested in pursuing this. And they are not actually the first scientists to attempts a similar although their level of success is what is unusual. They did a few things differently. Here is a brief intro on their experiment:
The team of scientists lead by science fiction fan Szameit has now for the first demonstrated in an experiment that the concept of teleportation does not only persist in the world of quantum particles, but also in our classical world. Szameit and his colleagues report about these achievements in the scientific journal “Laser & Photonics Reviews” (DOI: 10.1002/lpor.201500252).
