Tesla coils are super cool and there have been some rad videos that have surfaced on youtube of home experiments. In any of these videos, do not try this at home without the supervision of a professional!

This one here is interesting.  A guy makes a tesla coil at home and fires it up against a compact disk.  (Wait what’s a compact disk?  Oh yeah it’s one of those silvery things from the stone age that people used to listen to music with 😉

In nay event, the effects are pretty neat, visually and even the sound seems like something from Star Wars.
